ZiN Daily is the living document and online creative laboratory of ZVONA i NARI, where literature happens every day. ZiN Daily is specifically looking for boundary- and border-crossing work that illuminates underexplored connections between different segments of culture. Send us work that will electrify our readers, as we build a common platform for mutual solidarity and exchange.

ZiN Daily accepts submissions year-round. We read work in Bosnian, Croatian, English, French, German, Italian, Montenegrin, Serbian and Slovenian, or any playful combination of these languages. Publication may result in translation, which could include collaboration between contributors, as part of experiments central to the cross-national mission of ZVONA i NARI.

 

ZiN Daily asks for worldwide first publication rights. Work must be previously unpublished (in print or online) with the exception of the original text of a translation. Following publication in ZiN Daily, rights revert to the author. If you decide to later republish the work, please credit ZiN Daily as the original publisher of the piece(s).

 

Use our email address: zindaily.subs1@gmail.com to submit 1 story, essay, article, review, or excerpt (maximum 4,000 words), up to 5 poems (maximum 4,000 words), up to 5 GIF poems or up to 5 images. Along with your cover letter, please add a short bio (up to 200 words) and a poetic statement relevant to the work you are sending us (again, up to 200 words) and your photo (which you can upload along with the file containing your work).

 

Please send your text in .doc, .docx, or RTF, formatted in Times New Roman, 12-point, and double-spaced. The document file name should be titled "date -- author name -- title of submitted work". Make sure your name and contact information appear on the first page of your submission. If you are submitting video or audio, please include a private link to an unpublished file. Use GIF, JPG, JPEG and PNG formats when sending images.

 

We ask that you wait to hear from ZiN Daily before sending further work. You may expect a response within 60 days. Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but please send a courtesy email notifying us if the work has been accepted elsewhere.

Unfortunately, we can only publish a fraction of the submissions we receive. In order to allow us the time to consider the diverse range of material that comes our way, writers are asked to send no more than two (2) submissions within a six (6) -month period. 

 

ZiN Daily regrets that, for the moment, contributors are not paid for publication. We are working to change this.
