Biography: Andrea Damic, born in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina, lives and works in Sydney, Australia. She wears many hats as her daughter likes to remind her. Andrea is an artist and a writer. Her education is opposite to artistic expression—she's an accountant with a master's degree in Economics. Being a non-native English speaker makes every publication worth the struggle. She believes there's something cathartic about seeing your words and art out in the world. Andrea is also Contributing Editor for Pictura Journal.
Her visual art has received various awards and can be found in many online and print publications. Andrea is especially proud of having her artwork published on the covers of Door Is A Jar Literary Magazine, Rat's Ass Review, Molecule: A Tiny Lit Mag, Pictura Journal and Gone Lawn.
Her multiple-exposure photograph 'Lost for Words' has been nominated for Best of the Net 2025 by Gone Lawn. Andrea spends many an hour fiddling with her website https://damicandrea.wordpress.com/.
