TIŠINA NE GRADI MOSTOVE / SILENCE BUILDS NO BRIDGES

Sometimes I am silent not because I have no words,

but because those words have nowhere to go.

The bridge between us has collapsed,

not by noise, but by the silence that sedimented over years.

I look at you from the other bank.

You are there, in your world that was once ours.

I am here, on the ground I built myself.

The water flows between us, indifferent.

Treba joj zrak, treba joj glas.

Tišina je sigurna, da. Ali tišina je i hladna.

I na kraju, tišina ne gradi mostove. Ona ih ruši.

I learned that love cannot survive in a vacuum.

It needs air, it needs a voice.

Silence is safe, yes. But silence is also cold.

And in the end, silence builds no bridges. It destroys them.
