Universal Kiss for Eternal Life
He gently deposited that universal kiss
onto the beloved skin of satin and pearls
a warm tingle to travel through her.
Eyes closed he came to a shiver
his cheek almost touching hers
the teasing of two souls in unison.
A fancy like no other, perhaps he dreamed
alone, in the dark, of the great spark
at the tip of his motionless lips.
It is no small feat to make contact
when so much depends on the success
of this union sealed in the eternal.
The mere embrace of two silhouettes
charged with an energy lost in time
made one by a passion so private.
